In December 2022, the team visited Woolworths Upper Burnie to encourage shoppers to add 1 or 2 additional items to their shopping so we could assemble 'Bags of Hope' for the Salvation Army.
We were thrilled by the generosity of our staff and community, who allowed us to donate 35 bags to those in need over Christmas - because we think everyone should be able to have a Merry Christmas.
Devonport Toyota are proud to support our community and have partnered with the Devonport Country Club.
The lush 18-hole course is the most prestigious on the North West Coast. Not only did our team - the 'Toyota Supra’s' finish in the Top 8 in this years Summer 7s Competition, but they also kept up with the best at the Pro Am Day!
Devonport Toyota proudly support staff health and wellbeing, and encourage being part of our local clubs.
On Friday 29th July Burnie Toyota partnered with Montello Primary School to participate in National Schools Tree Day. Launched by Planet Ark in 1996, Schools Tree Day is a day for educating and encouraging the next generation to take care of our planet.
Armed with native seedlings kindly donated by Sustainable Timbers Tasmania, t-shirts, gloves and carry bags provided by Burnie Toyota, we helped the students plant a shade area to benefit students for years to come.
This partnership is not only beneficial to the school landscape, but of equal importance it starts the conversation about the necessity of connecting with nature, planting native trees and playing a positive, active role in the community.
This important initiative is Australia’s largest annual tree-planting and nature care event. Plantings take place across the country on the last weekend of July. Over the last 25 years, over 26 million native trees, shrubs and grasses have been planted by over 5 million National Tree Day Volunteers.

Throughout the month of June, the team at Devonport Toyota ran a food drive to support local charity, HOPE at St Paul’s Kitchen. The aim was to fill the tray of a HiLux with non-perishable food, blankets, coats, clothes, and other personal goods including hygiene items.
Established in 2014, HOPE at St Paul’s Kitchen is a Devonport based charity that runs purely on the generosity of locals. Founder Paul Hosking cooks hundreds of meals every week for those less fortunate across Devonport.
We thank our local community who visited our showroom to make wonderful, generous donations to support our #FilltheHiLux food drive, enabling it to be a huge success.
